6 ^aAnd the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.

7 The first sounded, and there was ^bhail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled to the earth; and ^ca third of the earth was burned up, and ^da third of the ^etrees were burned up, and all the green ^fgrass was burned up.

8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great ^gmountain burning with fire was hurled into the sea; and ^ha third of the ⁱsea became blood, 9 and ^ja third of the creatures which were in the sea ^{▼▼Lit the ones having}and had life, died; and a third of the ^lships were destroyed.

10 The third angel sounded, and a great star ^mfell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a ⁿthird of the rivers and on the ^osprings of waters. 11 The star is named Wormwood; and a ^pthird of the waters became ^qwormwood, and many people died from the waters because they were made bitter.

12 The fourth angel sounded, and a ^rthird of the ^ssun, a third of the ^tmoon, and a ^uthird of the ^vstars were struck, so that a ^wthird of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a ^xthird of it, and the night in the same way.

13 Then I looked, and I heard ^{▼▼Lit one eagle}an eagle flying in ^zmidheaven, saying with a loud voice, “ ^aaWoe, woe, woe to ^abthose who live on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the ^acthree angels who are about to sound!”
